Hot Lunch/Book Fair Week
Today my 2nd graders were very excited to eat lunch with their families during our "Feature Hot Lunch Day". This morning they were able to browse the Book Fair during our scheduled Library time with Mrs. Schrick and look through a few of the new books. After lunch, they were invited to check out the Book Fair in the Library with their special guests. Some even stopped to take a picture at the fall bulletin board display as well as show their family around our classroom again. Following that, everyone was very thankful and excited to have an extra long recess supervised by Mr. Harman. Some family members even went out to join in on the fun for a bit. One of my students wanted to take a picture with his dad and myself since his dad was unable to attend our Open House in August and get a picture together that night. I taught his dad in 1st grade 30 years ago and now get to be his teacher, too. I was also very grateful to have 4 books generously purchased by families to use in our classroom! What a fabulous day to be in 2nd grade!
