March Senior of the Month

Our March Senior Student of the Month has been quite active during his four years at Central Lyon. He has participated in basketball, golf, baseball, FCA, chess club, backpack program, and National Honor Society. Most recently he helped lead our basketball team to the Iowa High School Boys 2A Championship Game. In addition he was named to the 2A All-Tournament Team. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that basketball is this student's favorite sport, and he named his greatest accomplishment in high school as making it to the state tournament. He plans to play basketball in college as well. Outside of shooting hoops in his free time, you may see this senior juggling, which is his favorite hobby. Other favorites include sculpture class and the book Lightning Thief. Mrs. Kroon sees him as an exemplary student athlete. "Mason has been such an excellent role model for underclassmen - both on the court and in the classroom. He works incredibly hard to reach his goals, but he also maintains a great sense of humor. His leadership at Central Lyon will be missed."

Congratulations to our Senior of the Month - Mason Gerleman.
