“No one would have believed that I made all state speech when I was younger. This is part of the reason why love the program. Speech is the best place for people like me to finally have a voice. It is the one time a year that I am free to write and perform whatever I want. For me, though, the competition aspect isn’t what drives me to continue. The adrenaline I get from simply speaking and the impact I see after makes it an opportunity I will never get to live through for the first time again.” ~ written by CL alumni Eliora Enriquez |
