50th Day of School
Can you believe today we celebrated the 50th day of school already?! We started off our day with some silly pictures using Mrs. Boekhout's decorations from when she turned "50" a couple years ago. Then for Math, everyone solved a 50's math riddle using the colors pink and black and wrote their answers to some open-ended questions involving the number 50. We also tried out our bubble gum blowing skills with some juicy, pink bubble gum, listened to some jukebox songs from the 1950's, and learned a few dance moves from Miss Pedley. In the afternoon, we enjoyed a movement break with "Barbara Ann". To finish up our great day, we enjoyed a delicious root beer float and then surveyed our classmates and graphed the results. As you can see by all the smiles, we have been living and loving our best 2nd grade lives so far this year! Everyone sure is excited to see what the 100th day of school will bring!
