Expectations
Each year students and teachers came back to school in the fall refreshed and ready for another year. This year is the was no exception. So far, this year we have been working on positive behavior as a whole elementary school. This is also true in the special education room. We are working on how to Respect All, Offer Help, Accept Responsibility, and Reach Expectations (R.O.A.R.). The terms are getting easier to use and the kids are responding well to the positive verbal reinforcements. Areas that we are working on are entering class, group work, independent work and exiting the classroom. In the special education classroom accepting responsibility and reaching expectations are worked on a lot. Using these items have helped the kids be successful even when learning isn’t easy. Please see the expectations of the Special Education room that are pictured.
