Greetings from Room 119
Well the year got started off to a quick start with moving rooms and unpacking form the summer move. The great thing about the move is that we have three different rooms to make a valued learning environment. The big room is the general room where we do most of the teaching and instruction takes place bur then we have the Study Zone where there is a couple of tables and chairs for taking test in a quiet area, as well as picking out books that the students can read at their reading level. The next room is the Lions Lounge. This room is a room that has more sensory items in it as well as a desk for a more relaxed atmosphere to read or to complete work in. I have enjoyed getting the class ready for students and seeing them succeed. We have a motto in the classroom is “It is okay to not know, but it’s not okay to not try.” I have rather high expectations for the students and for myself this year. I also believe that a safe environment will allow the students to reach their goals. We will be reading a lot in my class as well as working on math and language skills.
