This semester we have been testing Reading Eggs as an online activity that helps the youngest readers. The students have really enjoyed this activity and can’t wait to get their regular work completed in order to play on Reading Eggs. This program allows students to practice sounds of letters, blending sounds, sight words, reading comprehension, and spelling. Students earn golden eggs with each activity that they complete to building an avatar chicken. Reading Eggs is for children to 2nd grade, when they complete the program they can move on to Reading Express. Reading Express is a program for 2nd -6th grade students that works on comprehension, drawing conclusions and inferences. The students have already seen success with these programs.
