GLR-CL Cross Country

The George-Little Rock/Central Lyon Girls Cross Country Team qualified for the Class 2A State Meet on Thursday, October 19, while running at Landsmeer Golf Club in Orange City. Setting the pace for the Mustangs was Mary Schriever (senior) with a time of 20:47, good enough for 3rd place. The Mustangs tied for 3rd place as a team, but beat out Sioux Central who also finished third, thanks to the time of Ella Jager (senior) who beat Sioux Central's sixth place finisher by 12 seconds. The Lions will run next Saturday at 10:30 at Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge.
