Homecoming 2021

THEME: Hollywood

Homecoming week brings a flurry of activities and contests. Dress up days will kick off the week with themes for each day. Coronation will be held Wednesday, September 22, 2021, where the MCs will be Chase Thedens, Gable Van Beek and Chloe Metzger. There will be the annual induction into the Athletic Hall of Fame.

Homecoming Olympics will be Friday afternoon at 1:15 pm followed by a parade. The FFA will once again host the annual supper, but in a new location - the Central Lyon Activity Center - Friday, September 24 from 5-7 pm.

Homecoming Dress up Days (September 20-24)

  • Monday- Marvel Monday! (Dress like a superhero!)
  • Tuesday- Inside Out! (Dress in your class color!) Faculty Seniors Juniors Sophomores Freshmen
  • Wednesday- Breakfast Club! (Wear your favorite pajamas!)
  • Thursday- James Bond! (Wear your classiest attire)
  • Friday- Friday Night Lights! (Show your school spirit by going all out in purple and gold)

Competitions round out the homecoming activities with a door decorating contest when teachers can decorate their doors with CL Spirit. Judging will take place Wednesday. Each year during homecoming week, there also is a competition between classes. The competition calculates percentage of participation, and the class with the highest participation has the opportunity to treat themselves to Pizza Ranch during a predetermined date. In order to enjoy Pizza Ranch, students must participate in at least two dress up days and also have attended the Homecoming Olympics. Throughout the week we have competitions to see who dressed up for the best prizes that the local businesses have donated to the school.
