2nd & 3rd Grade Artists Show in National Art Show
Many of the 2nd and 3rd students had their artworks accepted in an art show called The Dream Rocket Project. The opening of the show is November 21. Work will be displayed at the physical location until January 4, 2016. The purpose of the project is to show awareness of and support for some topics of concern and interest to all. The project parameters were tough: 24” X 24” only, no paper products used, all edging fully closed and finished, and no 3-D elements. The theme for our category is “200 Years of Guides in Mammoth Cave.” We had 20 entries that represented 80 student projects. Below is a link to one of the sites where our student work is posted. Also included below is one of the supportive comments from the project’s curator. Please take a few minutes to check out the outstanding student artwork.
