No Shapes Bingo yet. I am simply keeping this here for reference when it is actually time for Shapes Bingo.
Shapes Bingo Rules (if you should happen to get this far in studying geometric shapes)
1. Each student has a Bingo card in the class tote on the south wall. 2. Give students several marking cards to cover their Bingo shapes when they are called. Marking cards are the small white squares in the little green tote. 3. Review the geometric shapes on the posters on the east wall of the classroom. 4. Review the 4-in-a-row Bingo rule. 5. Draw one colored shape at a time from the small purple tote 6. Call out the shape name first, giving students time to find and point at the correct shape on their cards. Check for accuracy, especially with pentagon, hexagon, and octagon. 7. Call out the color of the shape, helping student mark their shapes only if they are the color you call. Note: I have all 16 shapes in the drawing tote. Each shape is printed only once in each of the ROYGBV colors (R ed, O range, Y ellow, G reen, B lue, V iolet). You could end up drawing 6 isosceles triangles in a row, but each time it would be a different color. 8. On an empty space at a table, sort Bingo shapes that you have drawn. 9. Have students call back shapes by name and color to check their Bingo calls. 10. Keep playing even after some students get Bingo. |
