Jackie Wells, School Business Official

My name is Jackie Wells and I am the School Business Official for the Central Lyon School District. I am responsible for the finances of the school district including payroll & employee benefits, the annual budget, accounts receivable/accounts payable, various federal and state reporting requirements and a variety of other things.  

I have been with the district since October, 2004. I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a Minor in Finance from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD.  I've worked in banking, accounting and finance prior to my role here. 

I am also Secretary to the Board of Education. Our meetings are open to the public and held every 2nd Monday in the board room at 1010 S Greene Street in Rock Rapids.

My husband Steve is originally from Rock Rapids and graduated from CL in 1991. He owns and operates Wells Tax & Accounting. We are the proud parents of Ian, a 2019 graduate of CL and Sydney, a 2022 graduate of CL.
