Lion Tracks

Lion Tracks logo

Central Lyon's District Newsletter, Lion Tracks, began quarterly publication in March, 2002, when it featured news about curriculum/class activities, students, teachers, and extracurricular events.  In 2006, publication was reduced to three times per year and has been published annually since 2009. The summer newsletter was printed and sent to all patrons in Central Lyon School district until 2015 when we converted to online only. The current newsletter contains primarily registration information for the upcoming school.  Class activity updates can now be found on the website under the "Classroom Pages" grade level tabs, while forms and other information can be found under the "Parent Info" tab.

Former Superintendent Bill Huchinson initiated the district newsletter and held a contest to name the publication.  Teachers Dwayne Postma and Evan DeBoer both entered the winning name choice, Lion Tracks!  Nathan Karasch (2007 CL alum) designed the original Lion Tracks logo under the direction of art teacher Roger Van Roekel. The logo was updated in 2017.
