“Being a part of the Central Lyon Girls Golf team has given me a new family that I have cherished throughout my high school experience. Not many people go out for golf, so our small team gets really close really fast. But my best experience with golf so far is undoubtedly the year we qualified and placed second in the 1A Girls State Golf Tournament in 2021. Our team worked so hard that year and to make school history was definitely one our proudest moments as a team. I will miss our long jam sessions in the van rides, the look on Gerleman’s face when he listens to some of the music that we put on, and the golf cart races. I never thought I would be a state athlete, and here I am a part of a runner-up team. I will always and forever cherish and be grateful for my four years on the Central Lyon Girls Golf Team.” ~ written by senior Emma Baker

“I think that golf is a sport that you can’t hate until you try it. At Central Lyon, I have enjoyed playing golf to hang out with my friends, but also to compete and get better at the game. Mr. Wright and Mr. Groen both also do a good job of making each practice enjoyable. I highly recommend going out for golf to have a good time while also enjoying the golfing experience" ~ written by CL alumni Brett Dieren |
