An eighth grade team placed second and a seventh grade placed sixth in the annual Book Bash on April 12, 2023 in Sioux City. The Book Bash is a competition where students read a list of books as a team and then compete against other teams by answering questions about the books. There were 37 middle school teams at the competition. Team placings below:

• 7^th team 1 – 6^th place
• 7^th team 2 – 13^th place
• 7^th team 3 – 13^th place

• 8^th team 1 – 2^nd place
• 8^th team 2 – 24^th place
• 8^th team 3 – 22^nd place
