Hi there! My name is Brookstin Halma and I teach 2nd Grade here at Central Lyon. I started my teaching career, teaching Preschool at Inwood Christian School for three years. I then began teaching at Central Lyon in 2019 and taught TK for one year, Kindergarten for three years, and in 2023 I joined the 2nd Grade team.

I was born and raised in Sioux Center and graduated from Sioux Center High School. I then attended the University of Sioux Falls and graduated in 2016 with my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in reading and endorsements pre-k/k and middle school. My family and I live in a sweet little town called Inwood that is a quick 25-minute drive away from school. My husband, Jordan, is part owner of Halma Construction and specializes in flat cement work. We have a son named Owen that is 4 years old and a daughter, Rylee, that is 2 years old. Our two littles keep us on our toes!
