SPOOK-tacular Halloween Party
The second-grade students celebrated Halloween on Friday, October 30th. We missed having the parents, but we still had a spook-tacular time. Special thanks to Cassie M. for organizing our party this year and providing snacks and games for the celebration. Amy H. provided a cute craft for our party. The kids made stained-glass jack-o-lanterns with contact paper and colored pieces of tissue. After we ate our snacks and made the jack-o-lanterns, we divided up into groups of four and each child was given three ping pong balls. They took turns tossing the ping pong balls into numbered buckets. The points were tied after the first round, so we had to have a tiebreaker between two groups to determine the winner. The teams were evenly matched and there was a lot of excitement.
Wendy the Witch visited our school today and read us Room on the Broom. Each child left with a little treat from Wendy. We ended the day with several games of Halloween Bingo and candy prizes. Special thanks to Crystal L. and Stacy K. for providing the drinks, MORE snacks, plates, napkins, and other party supplies.
