February Reading Month 2021

Every year students in grades TK – 4th at Central Lyon participate in a reading incentive program during the month of February.  This year’s theme was Readopoly.”  The official start was during library time the week of February 1-5.  Many students dressed in green as we began our month by playing life-sized Candyland and memory games.

Students brought home a Readopoly recording page of reading challenges to complete at home each week.  Those who returned their sheets on Mondays with at least 3 out of 4 of their challenges completed received a small prize.  Those that completed all 16 challenges during the month were entered into the grand prize drawing for a Monopoly or Monopoly Jr. game.

Each week during library time, we explored books to complete each challenge.  We had an exciting and entertaining month as we learned about a variety of books in the library!
